<I have snipped what we read today in>
We started out with a picnic...
A refreshing chicken salad and watermelon and gluten free pretzels and ofcourse some chocolate pudding!
Then we headed to the arboretum, made it a short visit this time, learned a little about herbs...and forts.. but the forts will be in another post...I can't wait to go back! One advantage to several kids is that it might pay to get a membership, especially if it's a place you like..
<Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.Genesis 1:29-30>
Then we made it to the zoo!
<Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. Genesis 1:24>
There is a new exhibit this year... and we seemed to spend alot of time at that... The bears and otters were our favorites..
The zookeeper got the bear to do a trick- to stand and ask for the apple he had in his hand to throw him.. The zookeeper is right above the bear higher on the rock on the right, and where it is fenced in..we were behind a floor to ceiling window.. nice views!
-and we looked for tigers and finally found them. but I didn't get a photo of them this time..
"Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons or lead out the bear with its cubs?" Job 38:32
