What'd you do educationally wise today?
We played with (homemade,ofcourse.. you know me,grin>) playdough.
But, let me explain...
My six year old helped make it..she had to get the
ingredients, measure
ingredients, measure
and add them, and pick a color.
So, since she picked yellow..I thought we could add
lemon oil to it to give it a nice scent.
(My oldest decided to be more studious..
my baby was in my sling watching everyone.)
my baby was in my sling watching everyone.)
They imagined making pies... they were learning how to share the tools, be polite and work on kindness, creativity..It was great!
And after that they headed outside for sunshine!
There was a good story time today, good listeners!
A snipet from "The door in the Wall".. one of the books we are reading together..
"Dost remember the long wall that is about the garden of thy father's house? "
"Yes," said Robin, "of course. Why?"
"Dost remember, too the wall about the Tower or any other wall?" Robin nodded.
"Have they not all a door somewhere?"
"Yes, said Robin again.
"Always remember that, said the friar. Thou hast only to follow the wall far enough and there will be a door
in it."
I love that, hmm.. what will happen next?
